The last thing I tried was to install Discord through Ubuntu Software. Next, I uninstalled Discord using "sudo apt remove discord" and "sudo snap remove discord."Īfterwards I reinstalled Discord using "sudo snap install Discord" with that installing Discord but it didn't update Discord so again I'm left on "Must by your lucky day, there's a new update!" I uninstalled Discord again. ![]() I downloaded that and it still didn't change anything. I then tried to update Discord by double-clicking the compressed package in the file manager prompting an update download in Ubuntu Software. discord-0.0.15," "sudo snap install /discord-0.0.15," and "sudo snap install discord-0.0.15" with none of these working in the terminal. I extracted that package and tried to manually update Discord in the terminal using "sudo snap install. ![]() We can now finally install Discord to our Ubuntu system using the package that we just downloaded. I selected Ubuntu (deb) and it installed a package. Use the following command to download the latest version of the Discord package to your system. When I opened Discord it greets me with a small window saying "Must be your lucky day, there's a new update!" With 3 different install options. I'm using the latest stable version of Ubuntu and Discord needs to be updated.
